Even in winter, love melts all hearts . . .

An exquisite shelter of stone and timber sits on a hillside overlooking Okanagan Lake. Featuring chapel windows and barn doors, and an open-air gazebo, this heavenly place is called Sanctuary Gardens. Owned by Kirstin Wakal, this site is incomparable for wedding ceremonies. Our winter bride photo shoot, captured by Candid Apple Photography and styled by Blushing Pear, was a wintery paradise of white, cream and shades of pink and red. Our models, Brea and Noah melted our hearts as they posed on the hillside, framed by a gray sky and a landscape dotted with bare trees. Brea’s luxurious gown, designed by Lillian Wild Bridal, was a showcase of bridal couture, with a tulle, blush skirt and lace top. Brea’s hair and makeup, masterfully styled and applied by Jenna Jones Beauty, accented Brea’s porcelain skin.

We added wintery, silver tones with our candelabras and silver jewelry by ALDO—a stunning contrast to the pale blush and white bridal gown and Blushing Pear’s vintage cream settee and mantel. We provided texture with our fur rugs and sparkling crystal candy dishes.  The flower centerpiece, garland, boutonniere and bouquet, crafted by Passionate Blooms, featured rich reds, greens and icy pinks and creams, adding stylish warmth against the white walls and furniture. Sugar Sweet Cake Co. created a stunning white confection of buttercream cake, accented with pink sugar flowers. Blushing Pear’s vintage sleigh, pine trees, skis and steamer trunk lent an old-world charm to the Rose Room. Winter never looked so good!
